In this Orwellian times of surveillance and control in big cities, I find a way of subverting the system, by appropriating 80 CCTV traffic cameras, using them for art instead of control.

I obsessively watch the cameras daily, paying no attention to the frantic speed of our urban behaviour, but to the slow, subtle and poetic way in which tree shadows grow during the day. Nature, which has been run over by progress, returns in the form of shadows to take over the urban landscape.
